Texas Holdem Poker Strategies
texas holdem online...any other bankroll methods?

Ok, I am pretty nice at playing online poker and my strategy builds my stack up. Only issue I have is cashing out. I want to make it so I can get checks sent to me more often. Anyone out there have any strategies, methods, or any effective ideas to cash out more often and overall get more cash back with the online poker site? Any comments are appreciated. Thanks!

Set up a spreadsheet with these columns:
Total Bankroll
Base Budget
Daily Profit
Playing Budget
Total Profit
Cash Outs

Total Bankroll - This is the total amount of money you have in your account.

Base Budget - This is a set amount of your budget that you will try to never go below. If you go below it, you will not cash out unless you above this amount again. I would suggest you make this at least double the recommended minimum bankroll for your normal playing level, just to make sure you never hit a huge downswing and blow through your whole bankroll.

Daily Profit - This is the amount you win on any given day. So say your Total Bankroll at the beginning of the day was $500, and at the end was $600. Your Daily Profit would be $100. (Don't forget to write down or keep a line open on your spreadsheet for your daily starting and ending bankroll).

Playing Budget - This is the total amount you dedicate to playing and will never cash out. Every day when you make a profit, you should put a portion of what you won into this column. It can be any amount you wish, but if you play low stakes and crush them I'd put a lot of your profit into this (up to 50%) and if you play mid-to-high stakes where you grind out a smaller profit, I'd put a lesser amount (maybe 5 or 10%) of you daily profit. So say again you won $100 in a day, you could put $30 or so into this column. The total at the bottom of this column (or top, depending on how you like to set it up) will be your base budget plus the sum of all the profit you dedicated to your bankroll. If you happen to lose money one day subtract ALL of it from this column.

Total Profit - This is the amount of money you "won" and is in play to be cashed out. Simply subtract your Playing Budget from your Total Bankroll to get this number.

Cash Outs - This column is to keep track of all the money you've cashed out. Keeping an accurate account of how much you've cashed out for tax purposes is very important, especially if you ever get audited (and YES, I know professional poker players who have been audited!). It's also satisfying to see just how much money you've won over your playing career.
